Spring Into Gas Savings! | Wright Brothers Construction

Wright Brothers Construction wants you to be safe on the roads, but our team would also like to help you save while driving! Here are some tips to help you save on gas this year.

Drive Away Spending Less

You don’t want to spend all your money on gas this spring and summer. Therefore, take these tips and “drive” with them in order to keep from spending a bundle on gas every week.

Start by making as few trips as possible. This doesn’t mean don’t drive at all, but try to combine your trips so that you need to make as few trips as possible. For example, if you need to pick the kids up after school, plan to run your errands then, too, including trips to the grocery store and the post office.

When you get done with those errands, make sure to clear everything out of the car. If you’ve been to the store and stocked up on supplies, those supplies add weight to your car, which makes the engine work harder. In turn, your car uses up more gas.

Also, if you can help it, don’t drive during rush hour. First off, this will help you save on frustration and stress. But, it’s also a gas saver. When it comes to gas, it’s very expensive to stop and start your car, like you do often when stuck in traffic. As a result, skipping traffic altogether would be a win-win—for your car and your health.

Finally, when driving around, close your windows and sunroof, even if the day is nice and sunny. Having these windows open can mess with your car’s aerodynamics and be a gas guzzler. Instead, use the air vents for most of the year and turn on the air conditioning when it gets too hot.

Our team at Wright Brothers Construction strives to create roads that help save time and money for our community members.
