Set Your Goals High

As the year comes to an end, it’s important to take a step back to see all that you’ve achieved this year, as well as what you can improve on in the new year. Now’s also a great time to start writing down a list of goals for 2017.

Be a Goal-setter!

While it’s good to feel settled in your role, you should never feel as though you cannot grow in your career. Therefore, it’s important to set goals every year to strive for continual improvement as a professional.

For example, how were your productivity and efficiency in 2016? Did you become distracted more days than not? Did you hit your numbers every month? Did you master any new skills? While there’s always something you can praise yourself for, there are also things you can work to improve in 2017.

You also want to set goals about your interactions with others. Did you find yourself having less patience than you should have with colleagues? Did you show poor judgment in your leadership skills? Take this time before January to see where you can improve in terms of communication, conflict resolution, leadership skills, etc.
