Put Your Best Foot Forward | Wright Brothers Construction
The team at Wright Brothers Construction always wants to make a positive impression—whether it is our first time meeting or our 50th. Follow these rules of the trade to put your best foot forward.
Make a Good Impression Always
The following are ways to make sure you are putting off good vibes, as well as giving a good impression, each and every time you meet someone.
For starters, if you were to have a customer walk into your office right now, how would you be perceived? Neat and tidy, or messy and dirty? If you want to earn the trust of colleagues and clients, then your desk and office need to appear to be more put together so that they feel that you are put together enough to handle the job. If you can’t even tackle your desk, how can you tackle any obstacles that come your way? Therefore, take some time this week to organize your desk if it needs some tidying up. You never know who will be the next person to walk through your door.
Also, it is always best to maintain eye contact at all times. People want to be looked at straight in the eyes. If you look your customers straight in the eye while engaging with them, they are more likely to feel that their needs and wants are being taken seriously. In this same vein, listen first and then talk when you’re interacting with customers and coworkers.
Don’t forget to start your day off right, too. Whether that’s waking up early to get in a run or perform some much-needed meditation or simply to have a healthy breakfast, if you start your morning off on the right foot, then you will be able to put your best foot forward throughout the day.
