Continue the Savings Spree on Transportation This Month! | Wright Brothers Construction

Earlier this month, our Wright Brothers Construction blog discussed ways to help you save on gas during the spring and summer months. But we want to also share with you some ways you can save even more on your monthly transportation expenses.

Save Money. Save on the Wear and Tear of Roads.

Did you know that you could save a lot by using public transportation? Not only will you save money on gas, but you can also save on parking, as well as car maintenance, since you won’t be using your car as often throughout the week. So, even if you drive your car to a given location, like downtown Chattanooga or even Atlanta, consider using public transportation options once you’re there to save on expenses.

If you’re not fond of the idea of using public transportation, ride-share services—like Uber or Lyft—allow you to save on gas and reduce the wear and tear on your car. Plus, these services offer the convenience of simply pulling up an app to order up a ride and having the driver arrive promptly, often within minutes. You can use this service to get to work during the week or when headed out for an evening on the weekend.

Carpooling is another avenue many started taking a few years ago when the gas prices soared to upward of $3 a gallon, and it kind of stuck around for some people. This can help you save money and reduce wear and tear on your car. In addition, when stuck in a traffic jam or when you have a longer commute, the extra company doesn’t hurt.

While we continue to work our hardest to keep our roads in tip-top shape for those in our community, there’s always more work to be done to make our roadways even better! Visit the Wright Brothers Construction website to learn about the projects we’re working on that help strengthen our community infrastructure.
